I’m Hannah. I’m from Carrollton, Georgia where I learned that leading worship is a very humbling experience and Baptists don’t always have it right. I’ve been involved in missions for a number of yers now traveling to Mexico, Chicago, Mississippi and the Bahamas (we really roughed it for the Lord for that week, wink). The three summers in Mexico were spent at a dump where I experienced a new definition of poverty. Caves made in the pile of rubbage were claimed as “home” and a new toothbrushes got a smile and a giggle from the children. The Lord seared a certian thankfulness on my heart that summer; and I returned to Carrollton grateful for embarrassing nights when I forgot the lyrics while leading worship and for my massive church with countless resources, yet not enough Jesus. I’m ready to learn something more. I’m ready to become broken again, only to be built back up more beautiful than before.

  1. Welcome to the team. I am excited to meet you. Do you play an instrument? How did you get into missions?

  2. You’re off and running. Great Bio – from the heart; objective and honest. It will be interesting to read your bio after Africa. So many experiences on the horizon for you. Thanks for being an inspiration.

  3. Is there a reason why you don’t go by Mary but Hannah instead? I ask that because most of my friends and family call me Kate and I thought it was funny that we both drop the Mary and use the second name. Like Jessie, I also love the broken and beautiful…broken can be such a painful thing, but being broken is definitely a prayer of mine this summer because only then can God build us into the beautiful He wants us to be.

  4. Praying for you sweet girl that God will continue to give you energy and joy through this amazing trip. Love on some of those precious folks for me.
