First few days
We arrived in Manzini, Swaziland Tuesday afternoon, after spending a night near Pretoria, South Africa. Swaziland is a beautiful country and we all enjoyed the ride here, gazing out of the vehicle to see mountains and valleys that make up the country of Swaziland. Over the past few days, we have caught up on much needed rest, settled into the team house, and had the previlage of meeting some amazing people. Yesterday we were all able to go to a care point for the first time. A care point is a place where children from the community come to eat, play, and learn.
Today we divided up into teams to do a scavenger hunt around town. Each team had a list of things that they needed to find or to ask locals about, such as where the local KFC’s are, How many Pep (clothing) stores are in town, and they even had to find and drink Emahawu-a local corn meal drink.
Everyone is doing good and the team is getting along great. We have been sharing out testimonies and are getting to know more and more about one another.
Please pray for continued unity within the team.
