I just wanted to give you an update of how God is working in my life. It has been amazing to witness all the wonderful things God has done already- and I haven’t even left yet! I want to thank all of you for donating to God’s calling for me to go to Swaziland Africa. As of today, I have received all of the money I need. PRAISE GOD! This trip could not have been possible without your generous hearts and giving!
I get more excited and anxious everyday! I have two more weeks (yes I am counting) and then I will be with my group in Georgia for the training camp. We will be there for two weeks to prepare for what we will experience, get the supplies for the ministry in order, and to get to know each other in the group before leaving for Africa. Then, we will fly to Swaziland and be there for a month and a half. I can’t even begin to imagine how God is going to use me and the team while we are there!!
Since I was a young girl, this has always been my dream. Throughout this whole process I have felt God leading and directing me. I feel so blessed to know that God is calling me to go. One of my life’s scripture verses is Proverbs 3:6. The scripture reads “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” What an amazing verse! I believe that God’s love, mercy, and compassion is wrapped up in that verse. Can’t you feel His love? Without a doubt, I feel God leading me. He has made my path straight for Africa and I feel so thankful and blessed!
There are so many prayer requests hidden in my heart for this trip. I would like to ask each of you to continue supporting me in prayer. Without constant conversation with God, and His direction, nothing will be accomplished during the trip. Some of my prayer requests include, team unity, safety, humble hearts, patience, endurance, strength, and guidance from the Holy Spirit. As for my family and the family members of the rest of the team, I pray for peace of mind (there will not be much communication between us and the family at home).
This is such an exciting time! I cant wait to see what will happen in Swazi! I look forward to sharing the experiences I will encounter and the pictures of the children when i get to Africa!!
