Hi Ya’ll!! My name is Tana and I am one of your leaders this summer. Just wanted to tell ya’ll a little about me. I’m 26 years old. I was born in Texas and have lived in 4 different states since then. I went to college at East Texas Baptist in the “huge” (can you sense the sarcasm?) city of Marshall, where I graduated in 2003. Since then I’ve moved around a bit, first living in South Carolina then North Carolina. While I was in college God started drawing me more into missions and I went on a summer trip to Australia where I really felt the call in my life to full time missions. A few years ago I found AIM on the internet and saw a new program they had started called the World Race. I signed up and left in January of ’07 to travel the world as a missionary to 13 countries, including swaziland (I’ve been where we are going). I’ve now been home for 6 months, living in Charlotte, North Carolina and am still working with AIM in the World Race department doing marketing and mobilization admin stuff.
Some other things about me: I love sports, especially soccer, volleyball, and softball. I love thunderstorms in the mountains. I love the mountains! I have 3 siblings-2 brothers and a sister. Two of my favorite past times, other than sports, are reading and traveling. I love the nations!!! I love seeing people come alive in Christ!
I am super excited about this summer and getting to know each one of you. I can’t wait to see what the Lord does in each one of us and the things that he is doing in Swaziland. I’m praying for all of you and can’t wait to see you in a few weeks!
